The collection of blocks has 51 rows.

first row contains 124 blocks

remember that each row contains an addition of 4 rows

lets represent the number of rows as x and develop an algebraic equation for the number of blocks in a row.

number of blocks also equal y

y = 124 + 4(x-1)

for the first row, x=1

y= 124+4(1-1)

y=124+4(0)

y=124 blocks

so we are good to go

for the 1oth row

x=10

y=124+4(10-1)

y=124+4(9)

y=124+36

y=160

number of blocks in the 10th row equals 160 blocks.
