The function f(x) = 1/x.

Determine the function for f(x+8).

f(x+8)=(1)/(x+8)

It can be observed, in function the value of variable is replaced by increasing it by 8 units. So function shifts 8 units right as compare to previous function.

Thus graph of function f(x+8) shifts 8 units to the left of graph of function f(x).

Answer: Option C.
