How to convert from point slope form to standard form and vice versa?

The general equation of a line in slope-intercept form, is:


y=mx+b

Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

Starting with the equation of a line in standard form:


Ax+By=C

To write this equation in slope-intercept form, we have to isolate y. First, substract Ax from both sides of the equation:


By=-Ax+C

If B is different from 0, divide both sides by B:


y=-(A)/(B)x+(C)/(B)
