which has more kinetic energy, a 0.0020-kg bullet traveling at 400 m /s or a ( 6.4×10^7)-kg ocean liner traveling at 10 m/s ( 20 knots) Justify your answer.

First, we will need to know the formula to calculate the kinetic energy

K.E.=(1)/(2)\cdot m\cdot v^2

where m is the mass and v is the speed

then we will calculate the kinetic energy for each case

For the bullet

m=0.0020 kg

v=400 m/s

K.E.=(1)/(2)(0.0020)\cdot(400)^2=160J

for the ocean liner

m=6.4x10^7 kg

v=10 m/s

K.E.=(1)/(2)(6.4*10^7)\cdot(10)^2=3200000000J=32*10^8J

as we can see the ocean liner has more Kinetic energy.
