Let's solve for x in each equation

2x + 6 = 2

2x = 2- 6

2x = -4

x= -2

2x + 6 = 2 has -2 as a solution

2(x- 4 ) = 6x

2x -8 = 6x

-8 = 4x - 2x

-8 = 2x

-8 = 2x

-4 = x

-2 is not the solution

3x + 1/2 = 1/4 x + 6

3x - 1/4 x = 6 - 1/2

11/4 x = 11 /2

11x /4 = 11/2

x = 11/2 (4/11)

x =2

-2 is not a solution

7 - 3x = 5x + 11

7 - 11 = 5x + 3x

-4 = 8x

x= -1/2

-2 is not a solution

3x + 15 = 2x + 9

3x - 2x = 9 - 15

x = -6

The only equation with a solution of -2 is;

2x + 6 = 2
