From the information given,

number of orange flying disc = 1

number of red flying disc = 3

number of yellow flying disc = 2

Total number of flying discs = 1 + 3 + 2 = 6

The formula for calculating probability is expressed as

number of favorable outcomes/number of total outcomes

Since we are picking red discs, the favorable outcome is the number of red discs. We have

The probability of getting a red disc = 3/6 = 1/2

Since the disc is kept out after it is pulled, if you pull out one red disc, the number of red discs left is 3 - 1 = 2

Also, total number of discs left = 6 - 1 = 5

Probability of picking another red disc = 2/5

the probability of getting a red and then a red = 1/2 x 2/5

the probability of getting a red and then a red = 1/5
