Given the table between (x) and (y)

The constant of variation (k) is given by:

k=(y)/(x)

As shown, from the table

When x= -2, y = -4

k=(-4)/(-2)=2

when x = 1, y = 2

k=(2)/(1)=2

when x = 6, y = 12

k=(12)/(6)=2

so, the answer will be k = 2
