Everything starts to quiet down enough that you can hear animals making noises you otherwise wouldn’t hear. As the sun goes down, a hue of varying colors accompanies the horizon wherever you look—eventually, it’s dark enough you can only see the silhouettes of the things outside, but the moonlight starts to lights it up a little bit. You can see the stars while the sky isn’t blue, and it’s getting colder than it was a few hours ago. Naturally, you get tired—most humans aren’t nocturnal, after all. You can faintly hear an owl hooting outside of your window as you snuggle into your pillow, pulling the blanket up to your chin to wam yourself up. And, soon enough, you’ll open your eyes and it’s morning again.
