Given the points : ( 0 , 2 ) and ( 1 , -3 )

The general equation of the line is :

y=m\cdot x+b

Where m is the slope and b is the y- intercept

the slope of the line is :

slope=m=(rise)/(run)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-3-2)/(1-0)=(-5)/(1)=-5

Given the point ( 0 , 2 ) which represents the point of y - intercept

So, b = 2 ( the value of y when x = 0 )

So,

\begin{gathered} m=-5 \\ b=2 \\ \\ y=-5x+2 \end{gathered}
