We have:

vi = initial speed = 3m/s

vf = final speed = 7m/s

t= time = 3 sec

a= acceleration

Apply:

a = (vf - vi) / t

a = (7 m/s - 3 m/s)/ 3 s

a = 1.3334 m/s^2
