I did some research and this is what I came up with. It probally half baked but I hope it helps anyway.

there are a lot of food hormones. Leptin the fullness hormone. Ghrelin the hormone that makes you hungry. Melatonin the sleep hormone that tells you to sleep. These are powerful hormones and an overdose in one could be dangerous. Here’s an example. You might starve if the Leptin hormone told you to stop eating(because there is too much leptin hormones in the food) when you just started eating dinner and if it did for a few days you could die. If ghrelin hormones told you to keep eating then you might get sick from eating too much food. This is why food hormones are potentially dangeres.
