\begin{gathered} (6.8*10^4)/(9.3*10^6)=((6.8)/(9.3))*10^(4-6) \\ \end{gathered}

First we solve the quotient of the numbers and the quotient of exponents separately

(6.8*10^4)/(9.3*10^6)=(0.7311)*10^(-2)

As the quotient left us a decimal number we can also express it in the form of scientific notation. And so add their exponents to reach the solution

\begin{gathered} (6.8*10^4)/(9.3*10^6)=(7.311*10^(-1))*10^(-2) \\ (6.8*10^4)/(9.3*10^6)=7.311*10^(-1-2) \end{gathered}
(6.8*10^4)/(9.3*10^6)=7.311*10^(-3)
