SOLUTION

From the question

The function

f(x)=x^2+2x-2

is written in the general quadratic form of

y=ax^2+bx+c\text{ }

while

g(x)=(x+1)^2-3

is written in the vertex form for quadratic equation in form of

\begin{gathered} y=a(x-h)^2+k \\ where\text{ \lparen h, k\rparen represents the vertex } \end{gathered}

Hence both functions are the same, just that the first is the general quadratic form and the other is the vertex form

Hence the answer is True
