Isabel is planning a design that uses different colored wooden triangles. She starts by drawing JKL in the coordinate plane. She then reflects AJKL across the x-axis to form J' K'L'. Draw J'K'L' in the coordinate plane. What are the coordinates of the vertices of J'K'L'? ly у K 2 2 L -2

If we reflect JKL across the x-axis, the new triangle that is formed has exactly that same x-coordinate by its y-coordinate has reversed sign,

Therefore,

J(0,2)\rightarrow J^(\prime)(0,-2)
K(4,4)\rightarrow K(4,-4)

and

L(4,0)\rightarrow L^(\prime)(4,0)

Hence, the coordinates of the vertices of J'K'L' are

J^(\prime)(0,-2)
K^(\prime)(4,-4)
L^(\prime)(4,0)\text{.}
