I'm learning about triangular prisms right now and I don't understand it that much I'm having trouble with a question where I have to find the volume of a prism but it does not give me its height it only gives me its length so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do would you be able to help me out?

Answer:

114 cubic inches

Explanations:

The formula for calculating the volume of a triangular prism is expressed as:

V=Bl

where:

• B is the ,base area

,

• l is the ,length

Given the following parameters:

\begin{gathered} B=25(1)/(3)in^2=(76)/(3)in^2 \\ l=4(1)/(2)in=(9)/(2)in \end{gathered}

Substitute the given parameters into the formula

\begin{gathered} V=\frac{\cancel{76}^(38)}{\cancel{3}}*\frac{\cancel{9}^3}{\cancel{2}} \\ V=38*3 \\ V=114in^3 \end{gathered}

Hence the volume of the triangular prism is 114 cubic inches
