To divide using synthetic division, we have to use the coefficients of each term to develop the division, as the image below shows.

The first step is to write down the first coefficient without any changes

Second, we multiply the number -2 by the last number in the result row, under the horizontal line, then we add the obtained result to the next coefficient

Third, we multiply by the number -2

Then, we repeat the process until we do it with all the coefficient at the top

At last, we transform the coefficients under the horizontal line into a polynomial


x^3-20x^2+x+15

Hence, the third option is correct.
