Given:

\begin{gathered} 2x-3y=13\ldots\ldots(1) \\ x=2y+7\ldots\ldots\ldots(2) \end{gathered}

To find x and y:

Using substitution method,

Substitute equation (2) in (1) we get,

\begin{gathered} 2(2y+7)-3y=13_{} \\ 4y+14-3y=13 \\ y+14=13 \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

Substitute y=-1 in equation (2) we get,

\begin{gathered} x=2(-1)+7 \\ x=-2+7 \\ x=5 \end{gathered}

Hence, the solutions are x=5 and y= -1.
