Given the linear equation;


y=-x-6

To plot the graph of this equation we need to get the corresponding values of x and y at various points;

At x = 0;


\begin{gathered} y=-0-6 \\ y=-6 \\ (x,y)=(0,-6) \end{gathered}

At x = -6;


\begin{gathered} y=-(-6)-6 \\ y=+6-6 \\ y=0 \\ (x,y)=(-6,0) \end{gathered}

We can then locate this two points on the graph then join with a straight line since it is a linear graph.
