From the information provided in the picture we have two numbers, -5 and 5. Both numbers are written in the absolute value sign.

That is;


\begin{gathered} |-5|\text{ and } \\ |5| \end{gathered}

The absolute value sign makes the number assume a positive value. Therefore, both are positive at this point. We now have;


|-5|=|5|
