The scale on an aerial photograph is 1 cm :2.5 km. The length of a lake is 2.7 cm on the photograph. What is the actual length of the lake?

Given that the scale is 1 cm :2.5 km

A length of 2.7 cm will be

= 2.7 * 2.5 Km

= 6.75km

The actual length of the lake is 6.75km
