First we need to calculate the slople

P1=(-2,7)=(x1,y1)

P2=(6,-5)=(x2,y2)

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
m=(-5-7)/(6+2)=(12)/(8)=(3)/(2)

Then we can calculate the linear equation

(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)
(y-7)=(3)/(2)(x+2)
(y-7)=(3)/(2)x+3
y=(3)/(2)x+3+7
y=(3)/(2)x+10

the linear equation is y=3/2 x+10
