The formula C = 5(f-32)/9 can be used to convert temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius. The normal average human body temperature is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. What temperature is this in Celsius degrees?

C = 5(F-32)/9

where C is degrees Celsius and F is degrees Fahrenheit. Replacing with F = 98.6 into the formula:

C = 5(98.6-32)/9

C = 37°C
