A 14 oz package of cereal costs $1.69 and a 32 oz package of cerealcosts $2.19. Which package is a better deals

To determine the better deal, we have to calculate the price per oz on each package, for that we have to divide the weight of the package by its cost. This is done below:


\begin{gathered} \text{ package 1}=(14)/(1.69)=8.28 \\ \text{ package 2}=(32)/(2.19)=14.61 \end{gathered}
