y=6x +16 (a)

y = 5x + 14 (b)

Replace the value of y (a) on (b) and solve for x:

6x+16 = 5x+14

6x-5x= 14-16

x= -2

REplace x=-2 on any initial equation, and solve for y:

y= 6(-2)+16

y= -12+16

y= 4

solution: (-2,4)
