A year ago: 80 pounds

This year: 92 pounds

Yearly increase: 92 - 80 = 12 pounds

The percentage increase in weight will be taken with respect to 80 pounds. Then:

\frac{12\text{ lbs}}{80\text{ lbs}}\cdot100\text{\% }=15\text{\%}
