Hello there here is the problem you gave us

y=2x,x+y=9

You want to us to solve this by substitution,

_______________________

  • y=2x

  • x= (1)/(2)y

_______________________

we can substitute
y for
2x and get the equation

x+2x=9, do the simple algebra and we get that
x=3, remember though
y=2x, plug in the value that
x=3 and get that
y=6

_______________________

{\huge{\boxed{\mathfrak{Answer}}}

  • x=3

  • y=6

Have a good day :) !

Answer:

(3,6)

Explanation:

y = 2x

x+y = 9

; x+(2x) = 9

3x = 9

x = 3

y = 2x

y = 2(3)

y = 6
