• Antibiotics harm a living organism's cell wall, causing it to die. ,A cell wall is not present in viruses.

• Antibiotics are produced by bacteria and fungi that treat bacterial infections, not viral infections because viruses accomplish their functions inside the host cells. ,As a result, they are unable to kill viruses.
