Percentages

Suppose X people responded to the survey.

We are given the condition that 21% of the people said they would save the money and that 21% corresponds to 750 people.

21% of X is

21*X/100 = 0.21X

Equating to 750:

0.21X = 750

Dividing by 0.21:

X = 750 / 0.21

X = 3571 (rounding to the nearest whole number)
