y=ab^((x-h))+k

we are asked: how does the value of k affect the graph

* according to the rules for the transformation of linear functions, the effect on the graph of replacing f(x) by f(x) + k is a vertical translation of |k| units. If k > 0 then the graph moves up, or if k < 0 then the graph moves down.
