To find the end behavior of the function:


f(x)=x(x^3+1)+6x^2-8x

We look at the graph of it:

And look at what happens when the x is to small and to big.

• When x goes to infinity the function goes to infinity.

,

• When x goes to minus infinity the function goes to infinity.

The other way to find this is taking the limits to infinity in each end:


\lim _(x\to\infty)f(x)=\infty
\lim _(x\to-\infty)f(x)=-\infty
