Perimeter of the shape is 68 yards while the area is 114 square yards

To get the perimeter of the shape, we need to consider the composite shapes that make up the shape in question.

We have two different rectangles to consider. We find the perimeter of each and add up, this gives us the perimeter of tje composite shape.

We have the rectangle measuring 15 by 4 and the rectangle measuring 9 by 6

Mathematically, the perimeter of a rectangle is given by;

P = 2( L + B)

For te first rectangle, the perimeter is; 2(15 + 4) = 2 * 19 = 38 yards

For the second, we have 2(9 + 6) = 2 * 15 = 30 yards

The total perimeter is thus = 30 + 38 = 68 yards

For the area, we consider each of the shapes and add up their areas;

Mathematically, area of rectangle = L * B

For the first rectangle, we have; 15 * 4 = 60 square yards

For the second, we have, 9 * 6 = 54 square yards

The total area is thus; 60 + 54 = 114 square yards
