Kinds of transport

There are two main types of transport:

-Passive transport: is down the concentration gradient and does not require energy. Here we can find

a) difussion: through the cell membrane and there is no protein involved.

b) osmosis: is the passage of water molecules through the cell membrane.

-Active transport: there's a use of energy implied and the molecule is transported against its concentration gradient.

Therefore, the correct answer to this question is active transport.
