To solve this question, use proportion.

Since the rate of miles per hour is constant:

(x)/(4)=(184)/(16)

To find x, multiply both sides of the equation by 4.

\begin{gathered} (x)/(4)\cdot4=(184)/(16)\cdot4 \\ (4)/(4)x=(184\cdot4)/(16) \end{gathered}

And, solve the multiplications and the division.

\begin{gathered} 1x=(736)/(16) \\ x=46 \end{gathered}

Answer: x = 46 miles.
