triangle abc has coordinates a(2,8),b(-1,5),and c(4,-4).triangle abc is dilated with the origin as the center of dilation using the algebraic representation (x,y)->(0.5x,0.5y).which of the following will not be the coordinates of a vertex of the dilation?

The coordinates would dilate to a(1,4),b(-.5,2.5), and c(2,-2) so the answer would have to NOT be one of these coordinates.

Answer:

The coordinates would dilate to a(1,4),b(-.5,2.5), and c(2,-2) so the answer would have to NOT be one of these coordinates.

Explanation:

I multiplied each coordinate by .5 to find the new ones.
