y = 6x ===== (1)

4x + y = 7 ==== (2)

To solve this system of equations, we will substitute y in equation (2) by equation (1)

4x + 6x = 7

Add the like terms on the left side

(4x + 6x) = 7

10x = 7

Divide both sides by 10 to find x

\begin{gathered} (10x)/(10)=(7)/(10) \\ x=0.7 \end{gathered}

Substitute x by 0.7 in equation (1) to find y

y = 6(0.7)

y = 4.2

The solution of the system is (0.7, 4.2)
