We have the equation:

24=4(x-7)+8(1-6x)

to solve it we first do the multiplications on the rigth side:

24=4x-28+8-48x

Now we simplify the right side of the equation:

24=-44x-20

Now we put the x variable in the left side of the equation, we achieve this by adding it to this side; we also put the 24 in the right side of the equation we achieve this by substracting:

44x=-24-20

we simplify the right side:

44x=-44

finally we divide the right side by 44:

\begin{gathered} x=-(44)/(44) \\ x=-1 \end{gathered}

Therefore x=-1.
