Let x be the months after starting a membership, then we can set the following equations for each plan:

A:

Totalcost_A=50+10x\text{.}

B:

Totalcost^{}_B=25+15x\text{.}

Evaluating each equation at x=8 we get:

\begin{gathered} \text{Totalcost}_A=50+10*8=50+80=130, \\ \text{Totalcost}_B=25+15*8=25+120=145. \end{gathered}

Therefore, after 8 months Plan B will cost Jackson $145 and Plan A $130.

Answer: Plan A.
