Tan(60)

Using the special right angle triangle

We will be using the 30, 60, 90 degrees triangle

Tangent = Opposite / adjacent

For angle 60 degrees

Opposite = x root 3

Adjacent = x

\begin{gathered} \text{Tan 60 = Opposite / adjacent} \\ \text{Tan 60 =}\frac{x\sqrt[]{3}}{x}\text{ } \\ \text{Tan 60 = }\sqrt[]{3} \end{gathered}

Use the unit circle and special right triangle to find the exact value. No decimals-example-1
