while it is true, as the other answer indicated, that experimental and practical are not the same, but the meaning of the words is different to what the other answer suggested.

please read the question again.

this is about "experimental" vs. "practical".

so, we are only dealing with adjectives (describing associated nouns).

something is "experimental", if it already exists, but it is not clear yet, if it will fulfill its intended purpose. only time and experience in using and applying that thing will tell us.

example : experimental drugs.

something is "practical" on the other hand, if we are not wondering about the effects of the existing thing but its usability. it is "practical", if this thing or method or operation guideline or ... is not too complicated to do, and any potentially necessary resources are relatively easily available and obtainable.
