Marci has a 20-ounce bag of walnuts

i.e Total number of walnuts = 20 ounces

She will use 8 ounces of walnuts for a recipe.

i.e Total number of used walnuts = 8 ounces

The expression for percentage is :

\text{Percentage}=\frac{Amonut\text{ of percentage}}{Total\text{ amount}}*100

We have to caluclate the percent of the bag will Marci use i.e the percentage of the wallnuts used

\begin{gathered} \text{Percentage}=\frac{Amonut\text{ of percentage}}{Total\text{ amount}}*100 \\ \text{Percentage}=\frac{Amonut\text{ used wallnutes}}{Total\text{ amount of wall nuts}}*100 \\ \text{Percentage}=(8)/(20)*100 \\ \text{Percentage}=0.4*100 \\ \text{Percentage}=40 \end{gathered}

The percentage of the bag will Marci used is 40%

Answer : 40%
