Determine the mean number of pages read by class A.

\begin{gathered} \mu_A=(50+49+32+14+33+6+55+39)/(8) \\ =(278)/(8) \\ =34.75 \end{gathered}

Determine the mean number of pages read by class B.

\begin{gathered} \mu_B=(7+43+37+17+19+10+35+14)/(8) \\ =(182)/(8) \\ =22.75 \end{gathered}

Determine the difference in mean number of pages read by class A and class B.

\begin{gathered} \mu_A-\mu_B=34.75-22.75 \\ =12 \end{gathered}

So answer is 12.
