"F" represents the value of fresh fruits expoerted in year t.

"t" represents the year.

The relationship described shows the price of the fresh fruit with respect to the year, so "F" is the dependent variable and "t" is the independent variable. You can express this relationship as F(t)

a) F(1995) = 1973

The value inside the brackets is the year, so t=1995

1973 is the price of the fresh fruit exported in the said year.

So, the value of the fresh fruit exported in the year 1995 was $1973 million.

b) F= 1971 when t=1996

The year corresponds to the value of t, in this case is the year 1996.

The cost of the fresh fruit exported corresponds tothe value of F, in this case the price vas $1971 million.

So, the value of the fresh fruit exported in the year 1996 was $1971 million.

c) F(2000)= 2077

This notation can be read in the same way as the expression in intem a.

The value inside the brackets corresponds to the value of t, i.e. is the year.

2077 corresponds to the value of the fruit on the given year.

So, the value of the fresh fruit exported in the year 2000 was $ 2077 milion.
