Let us solve the following equation to determine the value of p


\begin{gathered} 5p-14=9p+4 \\ -14-4=9p-5p \\ -18=4p \\ p=(18)/(4) \\ p=(9)/(2) \\ p=4.5 \end{gathered}

The answer would be p = 4.5
