The Pythagorean theorem states:

c^2=a^2+b^2

where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse of a right triangle.

Substituting with a = 25, and b = 32, and solving for c:

\begin{gathered} c^2=25^2+32^2 \\ c^2=625+1024 \\ c^2=1649 \\ c=\sqrt[]{1649} \\ c=40.6 \end{gathered}
