Answer:

Both Jo and Liam are correct

Explanations:

From Jo's equation:

sin 40°=BC 62

Note: sin 40° = 0.64

0.64 = 62 BC

To find BC, divide both sides by 62

\begin{gathered} (0.64)/(62)=\text{ }\frac{62\text{ BC}}{62} \\ 0.01\text{ = BC} \\ BC=0.01\text{ } \end{gathered}

From Liam's equation:

cos 50°=BC62

Note: cos 50° = 0.64

0.64 = 62 BC

To find BC, divide both sides by 62

\begin{gathered} (0.64)/(62)=\text{ }\frac{62\text{ BC}}{62} \\ BC\text{ = 0.01} \end{gathered}

Both Jo and Liam are correct because when both equations are used, the same value of BC is gotten.
