To calculate the lenght of AB we'll use the formula for distance between two points.

Remember that the disnatce between points

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1) \\ \text{and} \\ (x_2,y_2) \end{gathered}

is:

\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Using this, and the data given,

\begin{gathered} AB=\sqrt[]{(1_{}-9)^2+(12-18)^2} \\ \rightarrow AB=\sqrt[]{(-8)^2+(-6)^2} \\ \rightarrow AB=10 \end{gathered}

This way, the lenght of AB is 10 units
