A company makes wax candles in the shape of a cylinder. Each candle has a radius of 3 inches and a height of 2 inches. If the company used 4182.48 in^3 of wax, how many candles did it make?Use 3.14 for “pie” and do not round the answer

given,

radius (r) = 3

height (h) = 2

pie = 3.14

so using the formular to find the volume of a cylinder

V = Pir^2h

V = 3.14 x 3^2 x 2

V = 3.14 x 9 x 2

V = 3.14 x 18

V = 56.52 in^3

therefore if the company uses 4182.48 in^3

therefore, the number of candles it made would be

= 4182.48/56.52

= 74

so the number of candles it made is 74
