1) LEt's calculate the total surface by calculating the area of the base:

• A square: A =s² A = 12² A=144 ft²

,

• 4 triangles whose altitude is 8 and their legs are 10, and 12

\begin{gathered} S=(bh)/(2)\Rightarrow\text{ S=}(12\cdot8)/(2) \\ S=48 \\ 48\text{ }*4\text{ = 192 ft²} \end{gathered}

2) Now we can add them all up:

\text{Total Surface Area: 144+192 =336 ft²}

3) Hence, the total surface area of that Pyramid is 336 ft²
