The correct construction is C. Construct the line passing through A and B.

A reflection maps a point to its image across a line. The image of point A is point B.

Therefore, the line of reflection must pass through both points A and B.

Option A, the perpendicular bisector of segment AB, will be perpendicular to line AB, not necessarily passing through point A.

Option B, a line through B perpendicular to segment AB, will not pass through point A.

Option D, a line parallel to line AB, will not pass through point A unless line AB is actually the line of reflection itself, which is not a valid option.

Therefore, only option C satisfies the requirement of passing through both points A and B, making it the correct construction for the line of reflection.

If we construct a line parallel to line AB, then the line cannot construct a line of reflection from point A to point B as there must be a distance between the line of reflection of AB and the parallel line.

If we construct a line that passes through A and B, it will also not be a line of reflection as for reflection, there must be a line acting as a mirror

If we construct a line through B which is perpendicular to the line segment AB, then it is the perpendicular distance from the point A to the point
