Explanation:

The slope is the amount of y change when you take one x step to the right. As you can see from the line, it drops 3 units for every step to the right. Hence the slope is -3.

For x = 0, y is 6, so the equation is y = -3x + 6

You can find the slope with points. You do not necessarily need dots. In the graph there are the 2 points (0, 6) and (2, 0). There is also another point at exactly (1, 3).

You can use those points to find the slope using the equation


(y_(2) - y_(1) )/(x_(2) - x_(1) )
